The release date for Shiina Ringo’s new album, Sanmon Gossip, is fast approaching. The new record will be released on June 24. Shiina has been concentrating on her band, Tokyo Jihen for the past few years and this will be her first album of original material since 2003’s Karuki Zaamen Kuri no Hana (which is, incidentally, excellent).
Although I wasn’t a big fan of Tokyo Jihen’s last album, Variety, I’m pretty excited about Sanmon Gossip. Here are a couple of videos from the upcoming album:

The new album comes out tomorrow, and a few people around the net have already posted impressions. I’ll be waiting until I get my CD in the mail to write a review.
